Class Description
Punch and kick with this high energy cardiovascular class. Kickboxing builds muscle, burns fat, increases balance & coordination, and promises to be fully engaging and fun. Wear comfortable training shoes and be ready to sweat!

NOTE: Due to the fast movements in this class, it is not suitable for anyone who is injured or coming back from recent injury.
Benefits
Strengthen your cardiovascular system. As your breathing and heart rate increase, you’ll be building your cardiovascular system. This has a long list of benefits, but what you’ll notice most is the sweat!
Build endurance. With a stronger cardiovascular system, you’ll also improve your stamina. This carries with you whether you’re out hiking mountains (we like that!), running, or getting busy around the house.
Improve balance and coordination. This is a high choreography class - meaning you’ll be moving your body quickly in specific ways that will help you with both balance and coordination.
Tips for Beginners
*always let your instructor know you’re new when you arrive for class
Take lower intensity modifications. Your instructor will provide modified movements for when you’re just starting out. Take these so-called ‘low’ modifications and work into more complex movements when you’re comfortable.
Be patient with yourself. Whenever you’re new to something, give yourself permission to be bad at it:-) It’ll take several classes to get your body used to these movements, so be patient.
Master one movement pattern at a time. You’ll notice after a few classes that many of the moves in class are repeated or used in a variety of sequences. Try to master the simpler movements first, then work on putting them together in combinations.
